This particular topic deserves its own page. Quackwatch
has been around for quite some time and is very negative towards non-allopathic
(Non-conventional) medicine. They even have a page dedicated to Colloidal
Silver. The results of their "Research" states that taking Colloidal
Silver has high risk for low health benefits.
On first impressions, the site seems authoritative
and has the aire of respect. All is not what it seems. From the information
I have read, it seems that Stephen Barrett (Quackwatch) is accused of
being funded by certain industries, who wish to shut down non-conventional
practitioners and manufacturers. If this is true, then I think it gives
us credibility as there are obviously some worried people out there who
are prepared to resort to underhand tactics. Although Quackwatch is in
the USA, we still have to contend with the EU directive on food and mineral
supplements, which came into force in July 2005.
Allopathic Medicine
philosophies fit the "Germanic (follow my orders)" way. "Alternative
Medicine" is for people who think for themselves

Who
are the"Quackbusters" ?

Americans have known,

The "Quackbuster"
operation is a conspiracy. It is a propaganda enterprise, one part
crackpot, two parts evil. It's sole purpose is to discredit, and suppress,
in an "anything goes" attack mode, what is wrongfully named
"Alternative Medicine." It has declared war on reality.
The conspirators are acting in the interests of, and are being paid,
directly and indirectly, by the "conventional" medical-industrial
complex. |
