Streptococcus is a genus of spherical, Gram-positive bacteria,
and a member of the phylum Firmicutes.[1] Streptococci are lactic
acid bacteria.
In addition to strep throat, Streptococcus species are responsible
for many cases of meningitis, bacterial pneumonia, endocarditis,
erysipelas and necrotizing fasciitis (the 'flesh-eating' bacterial
infections). It should be noted, however, that many streptococcal
species are non-pathogenic. Streptococci are also part of the
normal commensal flora of the mouth, skin, intestine and upper
respiratory tract of humans.See

Just a bit of feedback on colloidal silver
in the battle against
recurring streptococcal infection.
Many people who have had a near fatal
encounter with streptococcal
infections know that it is a lifetime battle to prevent it recurring.
A dose of 15ml of 10pp colloidal silver diluted in a litre of
mineral
or filtered water daily for a month, followed by a maintenance
dose
of 5ml in the same dilution, seems to have stemmed recurrence
in one patient.
